Babies are prone to bacterial infections,
as the immune system is still weak. Pathogens
can be transmitted in the baby food, so
for this reason teats and bottles should
be sterilised thoroughly.
Why this is and
how it works...
|
 |
| Thoroughly clean all parts after mealtime.
|
| Clean the teats both inside and out, and
rub thoroughly.
|
| Rinse thoroughly once more. We recommend
that you also force water through the feed
hole to ensure that this is also free of any
food particles.
|
| All breast pump accessories such as bottle,
suction funnel, seal, screw ring and lid should
be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed with water
after each use. This is important so that
no milk remains are left. Milk easily forms
a residue that can turn into a breeding ground
for bacteria. The accessories should be sterilised
at least once a day, preferably in the morning.
|
| Once all parts have been cleaned thoroughly they can be sterilised, for example in the Steam Steriliser.
